Sejal Chaudhary is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Agriculture and Animal Science. She belongs to the Tharu community residing in the Terai region of Nepal. Her key interests lie in gardening and photography. She is a member of 'Youth for Community Transformation' (YCT) organization at Rampur campus, which empowers youth to develop their skills and facilitates farmers through effective training and workshops.
Her OMLAS Project, titled "Balancing Growth and Green: Sustainable Pesticide Management," focuses on implementing an Integrated Pest Management system. This includes guidance on crop rotation, biological control methods, biopesticides, pheromones, and developing educational materials and outreach campaigns to raise awareness among farmers and the general public about the importance of reducing pesticide use and promoting sustainable pest management practices. Introducing alternatives of pesticides as Jholmol. The location is inside Khairahani Municipality.
She aims to address key Sustainable Development Goals which are: SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, SDG 13: Climate Action, SDG 15: Life on Land, and SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation.
